Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to pay to publish a trading system?
For the introductory period there is no charge for creating a strategy, but as the marketplace grows a nominal charge will be introduced per trading system published.
2. Do I have to publish a trading strategy?
No - when you create a trading strategy you will receive signal alerts. The publish stage allows you to earn revenue from your trading strategy.
3. Where can I see my published trading strategies?
Published trading strategies appear in a widget in the MarketPortal application but can also be viewed from the Trading System creator via the “Back to the Strategy Listing” link. There are two depths of strategy viewing; one showing a detailed view of subscribers, trade signals, revenue and performance, and another showing a summary performance cash-equity curve with basic information.

Unpublished (private) strategies can be viewed in the trading strategy builder only.
4. How do I delete a trading strategy?
Trading strategies can be deleted from the trading strategy builder via the Open menu (select strategy, then delete). However, published strategies with subscribers cannot be deleted.

5. How does a multiple path trading strategy work?
You can either split a strategy from the starting point, or from a universal rule (as illustrated below). There is no restriction (other than usability) with the number of paths strategies can use.

Strategy paths take signals in the order of triggers, so a strategy which has a path which signals a trade for MSFT on one day and another path gives a signal two days later – then the second signal will be ignored (assuming the trade has not been exited and meets money management criteria) as the portfolio already holds MSFT.
