Your first step is easy, register with an email address to get access to Zignals portfolio manager and more.
To get started, first create a new portfolio; assign a name, denote a currency and define a starting amount of capital.
Create your own personalised stock portfolio
- Within the Portfolio Manager are options to rename or delete a portfolio. Set-up allows you to switch between themes and confirmation messaging

Adjusting Stock Portfolio Manager setup
- Selecting Performance will bring up the data charts - which to begin with are empty until some transactions are entered

Tracking your stock or forex portfolio performance
- Adding or removing cash after a stock or forex portfolio is created can be done through the Cash button; the amount, date and a comment can be added if needed. This will appear in the Transaction History headed by "Cash" and will show in the Summary information with a plus or minus amount.

Adding and withdrawing cash from a stock or forex portfolio
- The Import feature is currently disabled but we are developing a facility which will allow you to import a .csv file of your brokerage account
- To add a transaction; select Buy or Sell, the Stock or Forex pair, and the Date. From there a suggested price for the day will be offered - this can be changed to fit within the boundaries of the intraday range for that day (with a little wiggle room on either side). The Commission, broker used and a comment can be added too.

Entering a transaction in the portfolio manager
- Entered transactions will appear in the Transaction History and any existing positions will display in the Open Positions. Within the Open Position window is the ability to call up real-time (or 20-min delayed prices) or use end-of-day ("EoD") pricing. Price updates can be manual or automatic. The level of detail displayed in the columns can be toggled between "Simple" and "Advanced".

Reviewing your stock or forex positions in the portfolio manager>
- Summary information on how your portfolio is performing is available in the left. The green icon in the top right toggles between two pages showing overall performance and average performance per trade.

Summary performance analytics of your trading portfolio
- Graphical performance includes pie charts displaying equity allocation, FX exposure, and sector distribution. The Cash Equity gives the distribution of cash, equity and short holdings. Drawdown over time and Monthly/Annual returns are available by toggling within the histogram interface.

- Clicking on a month will show a breakdown performance by stock. A rollover on a stock will give the total profit and % return for that month

Individual stock or forex performance for each month
- Performance graphs can be toggled and zoomed using the icons in the top-right. Similarly it is possible to maximize and minimize windows to optimize the viewable area.s
- The Zignals Portfolio Manager is the only online portfolio manager to support multi-currency positions. Assets bought in a foreign currency will show the return in the base (home) currency, the foreign currency and the return associated with change in the currency value.
