This only works for Private Portfolios. Historic transactions for a Strategy cannot be imported into a Public Strategy Portfolio.
Step 1 - Create a Blank Portfolio. If you don't do this your trades will append to viewed portfolio.
Then create a .CSV formatted Microsoft Excel portfolio that includes the below information and columns:
Configure your CSV file prior to importing. Ensure you have columns showing the asset,
quantity purchased, trade type, trade date, price trade and commission.
Step 2 - Open the portfolio manager and create a new empty portfolio.
Every time you enter the portfolio manager you will be given the option to open and create a new portfolio.
Create new as per the instructions at the start of this document.
Once created, open that empty portfolio (your positions and transactions should be empty). Then:
1. Choose the import button
2. Confirm the import requirements
3. Choose the .CSV portfolio you want to import
Importing a CSV file from your hard-drive.
Step 3 - Follow the instructions from the Import Wizard. After ensuring your file is in CSV format the Wizard will assign each variable to a given column.
Assign each column accordingly.
Once all columns are assigned the final setp is to Configure and Edit.
Rows with incorrect data or stocks which are not available in our database will highlight in red.
You can manually edit entries by selecting a cell and changing the values - although missing stocks are unlikely to be recoverable.
Rows which can't be imported can be unchecked.
Untick red-highlighted rows as these represent rows which either
have no data or unsupported data, including stocks unavailabe
in our database.
The final step will then import your Portfolio and load the transactions into your Portfolio
